Whitney Houston forever

Whitney Houston was of a generation that had to council with classical R’n’B influence, and the new sounds from urban, pop and dance. In the 80’s she was definitely one of the most influential female singer. Thanks to her success, like Michael Jackson’s, she has led radio stations to heavy rotate black music!

Back in the 90’s, though there were less albums from the diva, she had stroke with the most popular soundtrack in the industry: Bodyguard, the movie in which she made her debut as an actress…

It was also in those years that she decided to marry singer and producer Bobby Brown. Their couple made the headlines of tabloids and suspicion of drug addiction and violence started in the late 90’s. She decided in 1998 to affirm her choice and life in her 4th studio album “My love is your love”, starring Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, Faith Evans and Kelly Price

In the year 2000, came a Greatest Hits, in two parts, one with slow songs, another with mid-tempo ones. It also included some new tracks with Deborah Cox, Enrique Inglesias. “If I told you that” who was originally a duet with Michael Jackson, was sung with George Michael

Her last album, I look to you, was issued in 2009 and was the last occasion to attend for a Houston concert! The singer’s gone yesterday night at the age of 48, and yet her music stays…
